What if chest and shoulder suggest different sizes?

Protect the shoulder and comfortable closure first. Contact support with both measurements and the intended layer when the difference is significant.

Should I size up for a sweater?

Allow room for the heaviest realistic layer, but do not size up automatically without checking shoulder and chest or bust balance.

How tight should the tape be?

Keep it level and comfortably close without compressing the body or leaving visible slack.

Why does coat length vary inside one size?

Different designs intentionally use different proportions. Check the active product length rather than assuming every coat is identical.

Can alterations affect return eligibility?

    Wear a light fitted layer

    Measure over clothing that stays close to the body. Bulky garments can add unknown ease and make the result difficult to compare.

    Stand naturally

    Keep the shoulders relaxed, breathe normally and avoid pulling the chest or stomach in. Artificial posture produces measurements that do not represent normal wear.

    Measure around the fullest point with the tape level across the back. The tape should not compress the body or slide downward.

    For shaped coats, measure the natural waist and compare it with chest or bust. A size chosen from only one circumference can distort the intended silhouette.

    The correct size should allow the intended coat to close over the planned layer without strong pull, distorted lapels or excessive loose volume.

    Measure across the back from one shoulder edge to the other following the natural upper-back line. The exact shoulder point can be easier for another person to locate.

    Intended shoulder design

    A structured shoulder, natural shoulder and dropped shoulder use different seam positions. Do not judge an intentional dropped seam as automatically too large.

    Sleeve length

    Measure from the shoulder point to the wrist bone with the arm relaxed. Product styling can intentionally finish differently, so use the active product information.
